I was disappointed though, because this one didn't have a single dad in it,Īnd we all know that those are my kryptonite. I'm reading this one last, why?īecause I saw it was a single dad romance and didn't know it was a series! They were adorable and sweet together and I enjoyed this short story. There wasn't much, as it is a short story and it was quite rushed, but there was enough for me to feel the love between these two guys. What follows is a cute - although angsty because how can it not be? - and sweet love story. What's in the letter makes him ask Simon to track down Kyle so he can be there for him. I don't remember who Dayton is.īut anyway, for the past five years he's gotten sweet letters from KQ (or Kyle) every Valentine's Day and when he gets one in October, he knows something could be wrong or out of the ordinary. I vaguely remember Prince from the last full length book in this series, and I think he was the bodyguard of either the spoiled kid who tried to kill Simon (thinking he was Simon's brother or whatever) or one of the better cast members of Hawk's daughter's show. I can rarely read cancer stories because they're so devastating.īut because this is a holiday short story, and a romance with a HEA and is supposed to be uplifting, it all turns out okay in the end. This a sweet, fluffy tale at the same time it's sad and heartbreaking.
